Cyclone Fani Live Updates - Odisha, West Bengal And Parts Of Bangladesh
Cyclone Fani is said to hit Odisha shores on Friday Afternoon. Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik has said that over 8 lakh people must be evacuated as the cyclone is ‘extremely severe’.He had said in a statement that: ‘I appeal to children, women, old, disabled to be evacuated first and then the rest among the 8 lakhs.’ He said that the state is fully prepared to tackle the cyclone.
Fani is excepted to hit Fani on 3rd May 2019 at the speeds ranging up to 180kmph also causing heavy rainfall in the coastal districts of the state.
The Indian Air Force, Navy and Coast Guard have been put on high alert to meet any eventuality that is caused due to the cyclone.
An advanced relief fund of 370 cr has been extended to help Odisha.

Fani is not only said to affect Odisha but also West Bengal and Bangladesh. The East Coast Railways have announced cancellations of 74 trains in Odisha due to cyclone Fani.
